Introducing the Royal Ballet School’s new pioneering system of ballet training (ATAP)

We are delighted to be one of the first two dance schools in Scotland and the first dance school in the Central Belt and Borders to be able to offer the Royal Ballet’s School’s new holistic system of dance training to our students.

Having completed a rigorous application, assessment and intensive training week at The Royal Opera House and Royal Ballet School in London, Principal, Lianne McPherson is one of only 30 dance teachers in the very first cohort of teachers accepted onto the brand new Affiliate Training and Assessment Programme (ATAP) and has successfully been awarded Affiliate Teacher status of The Royal Ballet School.

This truly inspiring programme of dance teacher training embodies classical technique, body conditioning, creative practice, repertoire study, pedagogy, psychology and much more! ATAP is a uniquely holistic approach to dance training and offers an innovative alternative to current models of examination study offered in most recreational schools. We are very excited to be one of the first to offer this new system of training.
